About Us
In 1970, due to a change in partnership arrangements, Dato’ Bill Davidson moved from Gibb & Co and started with the firm of Lewis & Co, which was named after its original senior partner, JMM Lewis.
The practice of Lewis & Co also revolved largely around the tin mining industry, then the backbone of the Malaysian economy. Here too, a shuffle in partnership arrangements took place.
The result was that on 1st November 1981, the firm Azman & Co in Ipoh, and the Ipoh office of Lewis & Co, merged to form Azman Davidson & Co. Dato’ Davidson became the joint senior partner of the new firm. Immediately after the merger, Azman Davidson & Co established a branch office in Kuala Lumpur.
In 1985, Datuk Francis Tan joined the firm and became the firm’s managing partner soon thereafter. Both he and Dato’ Davidson are currently consultants with the firm.
