Taman Tun Sardon is a large working-class neighbourhood of low-cost flats in Gelugor, Penang. It was named after Tun Sardon Jubir, who served as the Yang Di-Pertua Negeri, or Governor, of Penang from 1975 to 1981. Taman Tun Sardon is sandwiched between Kampung Kastam in the north and Brown Garden in the south. Most of the flats at Taman Tun Sardon are five-storey walk-up blocks. They were built in the 1980s.
The main road through the Taman Tun Sardon neighbourhood is Hilir Pemancar. Branching off this main road are the side roads to all the flats. The main approach to Taman Tun Sardon is via Jalan Sultan Azlan Shah. The first group of flats are given the letters A, B, C, D and D. They are clustered near the community market, Pasar & Balai Rakyat Gelugor.
Going further in, you pass by the neighbourhood mosque, Masjid At Taqwa. Following that is the main portion of Taman Tun Sardon. Almost all the blocks here carry an A to their name. They are blocks AA, AB, AC, AD, AF, AG, AH, AJ, AK, AL, AM, AN, AP, AQ, AR, AS, AT, AU and AV. There are three blocks that do not follow this format. They are labelled blocks 3A, 3B and 3C. A hill road (State Route P227) connects Hilir Pemancar to Jalan Lembah, enabling through traffic to Jalan Bukit Gambir.
